Welcome Baby Sophie

It’s not often that Hills Shire Mayor Dr Michelle Byrne slows down but on October 4 her civic duties were put on hold when she gave birth to a new little citizen, Sophie Charlotte Cameron Fuentes, at 8.33am at Norwest Private Hospital.

She and her husband Matt Fuentes are already proud parents to twins, Alexis and Maddison.

The Mayor released an official photograph of the family by Baulkham Hills photographer Amelia McKee, taken when Sophie was eight-days old, and told the Hills to Hawkesbury News: “Matt and myself are absolutely delighted by the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Sophie. She is a peaceful little baby who sleeps well, eats well and more than anything loves being cuddled. We are completely smitten by her and are enjoying being a family of five.”

Maddison and Alexis are besotted with their baby sister and have been showering her in cuddles and kisses. It is wonderful to see and we look forward to watching our three little girls growing up as the very best of friends.

“We are eternally grateful to our obstetrican Dr Gary Sykes and the nursing staff at Norwest Private who looked after Sophie and myself so well. A huge thank you to our friends, family and the Hills Community for their congratulatory messages on the birth of our daughter. We feel very blessed to live in the Hills and we are grateful for the constant support the community gives us.”

“We couldn’t imagine living anywhere else and we look forward to raising our children in this wonderful community.

CHERRY ON TOP
Amelia McKee from Cherry on Top Photography said it was an honour to capture the family and “a supermum” who works tirelessly for the community.

“I fell into photography after having a photoshoot with my son who is now ten years old, and the session was super awkward and difficult. I thought to myself there had to be a better way to photography newborns, so I purchased my fist DSLR camera and away I went.”

She created Cherry on Top Photography nearly eight years ago, after seven years educating little ones in long day care. The mother of two has now photographed more than 450 babies other than her own.

“I treat every little person that comes though my doors as if they were my own,” she said. cherryontopphotography.com.au
