Disaster Assistance Response Team Back From Türkiye

Robyn Preston was joined by his Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Australia, Ufuk Gezer, the Consul General of Türkiye, Ali Sevin, Commissioners, Susan Templeman MP and RAAF personnel, as the plane arrived.

The DART team had travelled for 2.5 days, on and off planes on the other side of the world, before landing at the RAAF Base.

The world watched their efforts through the media and they received high praise as they worked with locals to assist in the recovery process.

She knows their families will cherish their return and I am sure the experience in Türkiye was beyond what the team had ever imagined, but they did us proud and thank God they have all returned home.

Our bond with Türkiye has strengthened through this adversity – two countries, from different ends of the world working for the common good of mankind.
