TAKE 5 OR 10 AND DO THE PSI

Business owners and managers are being urged to take at least five minutes to fill in the 2020 Hills PSI (Performance Sentiment Index)

The annual survey is in its sixth year and will be available on the Sydney Hills Business Chamber website from March 1 to April 9.

SHBC board member Bill Elmer said the survey would only take between 5 and ten minutes to complete.

Last year a record 274 surveys were completed. The survey is a joint initiative between the Sydney Hills Business Chamber and The Hills Shire Council and is carried out by McCrindle Research.

Mr Elmer said: “We at the Hills are blessed to have a local council that actively engages the local business community and works with them to offer assistance and many programs that can help businesses to grow and prosper.

“I urge every business leader/owner to take the opportunity to help the council to help us.

“It gives businesses an opportunity to give the local council an indication of what challenges they face, what hope they have, and how they direct the council on ways that may assist them via the data collected within the survey.”

Last year’s survey asked 21 targeted questions to gauge current and expected business performance across a range of indicators, including conditions and sentiment.

Mr Elmer said: “Businesses are using the data that has been collected from previous reports to their advantage by implementing in their strategic forward planning. Council are using it also for the same reasons. A win/win.”
