CLEAN UP AUSTRALIA DAY

Clean Up Australia Day leaps into action this Sunday, March 1 and you can still get involved.

There are 877 registered clean-up sites across Sydney and numerous sites in North West Sydney, from Richmond to Winston Hills. This will be the 30th year of the Clean Up Australia program,

Since 1990 an amazing 17.7 million Australians have donated their time to clean up where they live, amounting to 35 million hours.

The massive effort has seen over 365,000 ute loads of rubbish collected.

According to the 2019 National Rubbish Report cigarette butts topped the list of the most individual items collected (22 per cent) followed by plastic bottle caps and lids and glass drink bottles and straws.
