Support the less fortunate this Christmas Donate to the Mayoral Christmas Appeal

Mayor of Hawkesbury, Councillor Mary Lyons-Bucket officially launched the 2016 Mayoral Christmas Appeal on Tuesday, 6 December at a special morning tea hosted by Hawkesbury Central Library.

Windsor Public School Percussion Group, St Matthews School Choir and the Macquarie Towns Choral Society entertained guests with wonderful musical presentations. Later, younger children enjoyed Christmas themed stories, songs and craft. They were thrilled when Puddles, the Reading Dragon also made a guest appearance at Preschool Story Time.

This is the fifth year the Mayoral Christmas appeal is partnering with the Rotary Club of Richmond’s Tree of Joy Appeal.

“Let’s all work together and spread the Christmas cheer to those struggling this Christmas. Hawkesbury residents are very generous, so thank you to those who have already donated gifts,” said the Mayor.

Contributions are welcomed for both children and adults of all ages. Gift tags will be available at collection points or you can add your own.

There are three collection points for the Mayoral Christmas Appeal located at:

 Council’s Administration Building, 366 George Street Windsor
 Windsor Central Library, Deerubbin Centre (Ground Floor), 300 George St, Windsor
 Richmond Branch Library, 29 West Market Street, Richmond

Presents should be delivered to the collection points by Friday, 16 December 2016 to allow time for them to be distributed prior to Christmas.
