The Hills-based Fire and Brimstone BBQ team have another
award to add to their menu.

The mobile team entered The Smokin’ the Valley Beer and BBQ festival at The Friendly Inn at Kangaroo Valley last weekend and left with a bronze medal for their beef brisket and top ten placings in several other sections.

For the Fire and Brimstone BBQ team of Brad Shorten and Linda Zammit with “a lot of help from Colin” it was only their second competition.

The categories included chicken, pork ribs, lamb and beef.

Linda said: “Trimming, brining, marinating and cooking started on Saturday evening and the team worked through the night to put together some delicious dishes. “The hand ins started on Sunday morning, running every hour from 10am through to 1pm, with the team completely exhausted after only a few hours of sleep each.”

This is just the start for the Fire and Brimstone team who are competing again on Australia Day 2019 at the Parramatta Big Lamb Battle were they will try to be crowned the King and Queen of lamb!
