Glorious Geraniums

Glorious Geraniums were on the menu when Macquarie Towns Garden Club recently had its first speaker in 18 months – local geranium expert, Robyn Bible.

“Robyn kept us enthralled with her talk”, said Club president Ann Chilman. “It was very informative, with tips on growing, fertilising and propagating, and better still we were able to purchase some of the beautiful plants Robyn brought along to the meeting.

“There was an amazing array of colourful varieties on display.”

While things were on hiatus during the challenging year of 2020, things are getting back to normal, with speakers lined up in the following months to talk about a variety of topics, such as beekeeping, orchids and bromeliads or irises.

In September, the MTGC Open Day and Plant Sale will return, with the support of Hawkesbury Regional Library.

Well-known horticulturalists Judy Horton will speak at the AGM in August. Glorious Geraniums

“Our Club is a great way to meet fellow gardeners, people who love gardens and those who would like to know more,” said Ann. Glorious Geraniums
