The Secret Garden at Richmond provided a great day out for members of The Hills Shire Garden Club.

The Castle Hill-based club which was established over 30 years ago organises about six garden tours a year.

Regular meetings are held on the third Monday of the month, starting at 1pm, at Barton Hall, 178 David Rd Castle Hill.

Club publicity officer Irene O’Brien said new members or visitors were always welcome. “At each meeting we have a guest speaker talking on various topics, a raffle, lucky door prize and a plant table to buy plants that members have grown plus an afternoon tea.

“Anyone is welcome … you don’t have to be a gardening expert, just come along and make new friends with a common interest.”

The club currently has about 70 members. To find out more details call 9624 5034
