Bromeliad Beauty

The Bromeliad Society of Australia is meeting on Saturday, July 10 at Castle Hill and will welcome Allan Beard of Glenorie as a guest speaker.

Bromeliad Society Allan, a life member of the Society, will talk about how to establish a new garden.

Allan has collected hundreds of these plants over more than 30 years and created a magic garden using bromeliads of contrasting colours, sizes, textures and unusual markings, together with the occasional garden ornament, hanging baskets, tree stumps and branches adorned with air plants.

Guests are welcome and anyone who is considering installing a low maintenance and drought tolerant garden will find it very informative.

This plant sales start at 10 am and the meeting starts at noon 12 pm. Normal meeting activities include a raffle, show and tell.

The meeting will be at the Federation Pavilion, Castle Hill Showground, Showground Road, Castle Hill off Doran Drive.
