The much-loved musical Wizard of Oz will spring into life at the Pioneer Theatre at Castle Hill later this month.

The Wizard of Oz Young Performers’ Edition is the One Act version of the hit musical and features all the favourite songs plus the cast of wonderful characters including Scarecrow, the Tinman, the Cowardly Lion and even Toto.

For 80 years this wonderful musical has seen Dorothy Gale of Kansas dreaming about what lies over the rainbow.

She finds out the day a twister hits her farm and carries her away over the rainbow to another world.

Spot On Productions which brought Annie Jr to the Pioneer Theatre when it opened is staging the evergreen classic.

Jasmin Mancuso, who will be jumping on a broomstick to be the Wicked Witch, said: ““ I think the connection between the cast and the audience is going to be great – I am looking forward to scaring everyone!”.

Jasmine Argyropoulos (Dorothy) said: “I think this show is going to be special, because of the bond that the cast and production team have developed along the way”.
