Winter fun for kids @ your library

Hawkesbury Library Service has a great range of activities planned for these July school holidays. They are designed for kids who enjoy creating and learning new things. Come along and join in the fun at your local library!

Stay warm indoors with these crafternoon events:

SCRAPBOOK PHOTO BOX: Tuesday, 5 July 2-4pm
Create a scrapbook photo box (no photos needed).
Hawkesbury Central Library
$5 – for children 5 years+

STRING ART: Tuesday, 12 July 2-4pm
Learn to make art with just some nails and string.
Richmond Branch Library
$5 – for children 8 years+

PAPER BEADS: Thursday, 14 July 2-4pm
Make beautiful, colourful beads from paper and then decorate a key ring with them.

FREE – for children 8 years+

MINI BEASTS: Friday, 8 July 2-3:30pm
Want to see insects, spiders, worms and other creepy-crawlies up close? Come along to this free workshop
and learn all about these mini beasts on Friday, 8 July 2-3:30pm.

3D PRINTER WORKSHOP: Wednesday, 6 July 2:30-4pm
Back by popular demand, another 3D Printer workshop! Design and print your own 3D name tag on

$5, payable on the day – for children 10 years+

The Mayor of Hawkesbury, Councillor Kim Ford knows that kids are always looking for great activities to do in the school holidays.

“With young grandchildren of my own, I know how much they like new things to see and do, so these events are a great chance for kids to do fun workshops at our local libraries,” Mayor Ford said.

All activities are either at Hawkesbury Central Library, 300 George Street, Windsor or Richmond Branch Library, 29 West Market Street, Richmond as listed above. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Bookings are essential and places are limited – call 4560 4460 or email [email protected] with your name(s), contact number and the event you wish to attend.
