New Nets For Crickets In Kellyville and Rouse Hill

Hills cricketers now have another space to fend off fast balls with the installation of new nets at Bernie Mullane Reserve, Kellyville and Russell Reserve, Rouse Hill.

Hills Shire Mayor Dr Michelle Byrne visited the nets earlier this week and said the investment was gladly welcomed by the cricketing community.

“Bernie Mullane is one of our most popular sporting reserves and the installation of cricket nets opens up the field to another popular sport,” Mayor Byrne said.

“Cricket is our national game and our most popular summer sport. Players have asked for more practice spaces and we’re happy to provide them.”

“If we can cater for additional sports within our parks and reserves, we’ll certainly look into it.”
