The Garage Sale Trail is on again and people and groups are being encouraged to get involved.
The nation-wide initiative encourages residents to declutter, reduce waste, make money and fundraise for a charity or organisation of their choice.
The award-winning community event is now in its tenth year and has grown from one event in Sydney to a massive national program supported by more than 146 councils. Garage Sale Trail will be held on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, November 20 and 21. To register or to find out more information, visit: www.garagesaletrail.com.au/thehillsshirecouncil.
Hills Shire Mayor, Dr Michelle Byrne urged Hills residents to get involved by hosting a COVID-19 safe garage sale, attending an online masterclass or holding a virtual garage sale this November.
“Garage Sale Trail has added some new elements to the campaign this year so you can participate from the safety and comfort of your own home,” Mayor Byrne said.
“Alternatively you have the option of hosting a physical COVID safe garage sale or virtual sale via social media,” she added.
