Summer Series heats up The Hills

The Hills Shire Council is excited to announce that its Summer Series of events is back for another year.

Summer Series offers a range of fun and exciting activities and festive celebrations across the summer in The Sydney Hills.

With brand new events alongside old favourites, there’s something for everyone this season including pop-up eateries, outdoor theatre and cinema, light displays, festive celebrations and family friendly activities.

Plus, Australia Day and the Lunar New Year will be held at the historic Bella Vista Farm over two fun-filled days.

Hills Shire Mayor, Councillor Yvonne Keane, said there was so much happening that residents wouldn’t want to leave The Hills this summer.

“For the very first time, the gates of our Shire’s best-kept secret, Bella Vista Farm, will be thrown open every single day during the summer months [except Christmas Day],” Mayor Keane said.

“It’s a truly special place made even more special this year with my new secret obsession – Lil Miss Collins café, which has popped up just in front of the historic packing shed. This rustic little farmhouse-style café has literally been built out of a shipping container and is the brainchild of brothers Tony and David Moussa.

“Park Feast – a street food lover’s delight – rolls in on November 12 and 13 with food trucks, music and fun for the kids.

“I can’t wait to see the faces of our Shire’s children as they dance under the snow and canopy of fairy lights to Christmas songs during the Christmas Sky Show.

“There are so many more amazing events that you’ll be spoilt for choice – the wonderful Outdoor Cinema is happening at Castle Hill Showground and the Sydney Thunder will be wowing fans at a fan day.

“Thank you to everyone involved in bringing this year’s amazing Summer Series together – and I hope to see you all there!”
