Fantastic Feast for Foodies and Families

Food trucks are fast becoming the hottest dining sensation, and aficionados of American-street feasts are in for a treat as the Park Feast Festival rolls into The Hills Shire.

Launching on Saturday, November 12, Park Feast will become one of the region’s largest food truck events, with the addition of live entertainment and amusement park rides set to create a unique market atmosphere over two action-packed days.

Taking advantage of one The Hills iconic locations, the first edition of the pop-up series will be held at Bella Vista Farm.

A total of 20 trucks will attend including Thai In A Box, Kayter & CO, and Sakura on Wheelz which have all amassed large social media followings.

Hills Shire Mayor, Councillor Yvonne Keane, said Park Feast will provide an opportunity for people to try exciting food options and enjoy free musical entertainment in a family friendly atmosphere.

“Park Feast will satisfy the taste buds of even the biggest foodies and will also provide a place where local musicians can share their art,” Mayor Keane said.

“This will be a fantastic event for the whole family and is really a first of its kind in The Hills.

“We are excited to be a partner of this amazing festival that will give local residents and visitors to the area an enjoyable weekend out.”

In addition to the food trucks, there will be live performances from Lara Parker Kent, Miguel and Cassidy Rae Wilson and many more local acts.

The kids haven’t been forgotten in the day’s activities with amusement park rides such as a mechanical roller coasters, giant slides and a jumping castle to keep them occupied throughout the day.

Mayor Keane said Park Feast, which is part of Council’s Summer Series, would help showcase The Hills to the broader NSW region.

“Many of these food trucks have large social media followings and very loyal customers, and the event will encourage our neighbours in surrounding suburbs to come and experience the exciting things happening in our community,” Mayor Keane said.

“I encourage foodies and families to come to historic Bella Vista Farm, soak up the ambiance and enjoy a pop-up picnic.”

Event organiser Elena Saadie said there will be something to satisfy everyone.

“The participating food trucks will be offering a variety of delicious choices and menus – from fall-off-the-bone smokey BBQ meats and burgers to mouth-watering desserts,” Ms Saadie said.

“Bring your family and friends along and kickback and relax and enjoy the beautiful park surrounds whilst tasting your way around the best food Sydney has to offer.

“Don’t forget to bring your picnic blanket! Foodies, this is one feast you don’t want to miss,” Ms Saadie added.

Park Feast will run on November 12 and November 13 from 11am to 10pm (on both days).
