RETURN and EARN RAISES $1.63 MILLION FOR CASTLE HILL COMMUNITY
Return and Earn has now soared past 3 billion containers returned state wide just a month after the second anniversary of the initiative. The people of Castle Hill should be commended for their ongoing commitment to reducing litter and contributing locally to the 3 billion containers. Return and Earn has been very successful in Castle Hill with more than 16.3 million containers returned helping to contribute to the 3 billion now collected. The growth of the scheme has been phenomenal and highlights a fundamental change in people’s thinking and behaviour around litter.
CASTLE HILL SCHOOLS RECEIVE ADDITIONAL MAINTENANCE
Four schools in Castle Hill are among the 968 schools across NSW that have received additional maintenance work, clearing over half of the outstanding school maintenance list across the state. An estimated $200 million was spent on 968 additional maintenance and upgrade projects at public schools across NSW during the last few months. These additional maintenance works are part of a $1.3 billion election commitment that is on track to be completed by the middle of the year. We are now over halfway to achieving our election commitment to wipe the additional maintenance backlog at our schools and we are on track to achieve it by July this year as promised.
SHOWGROUND ROAD UPGRADE IS COMPLETE

Motorists and the community are thanked for their patience while work was carried out on this essential upgrade.
