LIGHTS, SOUND, ACTION

The Hills are shining brightly with the spirit of Christmas as streets light up for a cause.

One of the biggest drawcards is the home of the Graham family in Castle Hill.

Zoe and Pete Graham have been lighting up their home at the end of the cul-de-sac at 13 Grandoakes Place, Castle Hill for more than 20 years and have been collecting for Parramatta Mission’s Christmas appeal.

As well as toys they have also been collecting non-perishable food and cash. Their home even featured on Channel 7 News.

It takes three weeks to festoon the house and garden with lights.

So far the family has already dropped off one car load of food and toys to Parramatta Mission but expects a lot of donations this weekend. The lights go on at 7.30pm until Boxing Day.

Andy Cutajar has in excess of over 2 million lights at his Northmead home.

The house at 45 Grassmere Ave, Northmead is a huge attraction and takes the grandfather almost six months to prepare. The lighting display has built up over 28 years and raises money for Ronald McDonald House

At Marcel Place, Baulkham Hills they are raising money for Westmead Children’s Hospital as are the family at 2C Hilda Road, Baulkham Hills.

The lights at 5 Caledonian Avenue, corner of Oakes Road and Edison Parade at Winston Hills are also drawing people from far and wide as is Minago Place at Castle Hill which has a snow machine.

Hills Shire Council has the perfect-selfie moment lights at Arthur Whitling Park at Castle Hill Metro Station this year and so does Hillsong Church at Solent Circuit Baulkham Hills.
