“This will be an incredible year for the festival, now in its eight year, with the program featuring a great line- up of bands, and plenty of free entertainment for the local community and visitors alike,” she said.

“Following on the great success of the 2015 festival, and with the help of Council’s sponsorship, The Sydney Blues and Roots Festival will again throw its doors open to the public and make it free, with only the exception of some dinner/shows and blues cruises being ticketed.

“The festival features amazing local and global talent playing the best blues music in the world, so I encourage as many of you as possible to get out and about to enjoy this wonderful musical experience right here in the Hawkesbury,” the Mayor added.

“Council is proud to support the festival as the naming rights sponsor of the iconic Sydney Blues and Roots Festival, and it is great to see the local business community supporting the festival too.”
