If you are looking for a great place to meet friends and family and enjoy a great value meal then it is really worth heading out to The Galston Club.
Its all-day special menu, operating from Monday to Saturday since the kitchen changed hands in July, has been a huge hit
There are a range of specials but the most popular is the $14.90 deal for members and $16.90 for visitors which offers a good selection of dishes but also includes a drink (a schooner of Coopers, a glass of Chain of Fire wine or soft drink) PLUS a soft serve ice-cream cone.
The ice-cream cones have been a huge hit with both toddlers and grandparents alike. For seniors, it is a real trip down memory lane.
The much-loved club’s busy kitchen is open from 12pm to 2.30pm and 5pm to 9pm each day and as well as the all-day specials it offers a lunch menu with specials under $10 (for members) and a regular menu offering a huge selection ranging from pastas and burgers to seafood and steaks. Of course, the crowdfavourite schnitzel is also there and there is a selection of Asian dishes.
While the “all day specials” menu isn’t in action on Sunday there is a bigger draw card. The huge Sunday attraction for young families is that children under 12 eat free.
For those wanting a great family day out on a budget it is perfect. The giant children’s play area which you can see from the restaurant adds to the attraction.
There are also complimentary ice-cream cones with all meals. Chief Executive Officer Christopher Bodart says the attractive price-point makes for a great day out.
