Convicts win National Trust Award

On Friday 6 May The Hills Shire Council and Convict Footprints Productions were awarded the National Trust Heritage Award for Community Engagement for their Summer Series performance of Footprints at the Farm.

The award recognised the educational and cultural value of the production that engaged audiences in the exploration of the history of Bella Vista Farm.

“It’s incredibly exciting to be recognised for a National Trust Award and receive recognition at a state level. Not only is the award a great promotion for cultural events and attractions in The Hills, it also highlights The Hills Shire Council’s commitment to preserving local history through cultural interpretation, events and educational experiences,” Mayor of The Hills Shire Dr Michelle Byrne said.

The cast from Convict Footprints returns in June for Convict Footprints: Rebellion! at Heritage Park Castle Hill.
