Community forum to meet your candidates

Ahead of the 2016 general election a community forum will be held in Castle Hill on Tuesday 14 June.

The forum has been organised by Wesley Castle Hill Uniting Church as part of its ministry to the Castle Hill community.

Speaking this week, one of the ministers at Wesley Castle Hill, Rev. Greg Woolnough said the forum was designed to enable electors in the seat of Mitchell hear about the candidates as they share both their own backgrounds and passions and how these translate to their policies.

Mr Woolnough added “Wesley has been a part of the life of Castle Hill and the Hills district and aims more than ever to play a useful role in contributing to and enjoying the community. This is the first of what will become a regular series of “Community Forums”, addressing the issues that impact the lives of Australians, particularly in our local area”.

Invitations have been extended to the nominated candidates and Mr Woolnough said he hoped all of them will be in attendance.

The forum which will be held at Wesley Castle Hill Uniting Church, 32 Showground Road will commence at 7:30pm. The format will include brief personal addresses from the candidates followed by a “Q & A” style open forum moderated by Mr Woolnough. A light supper will be provided at the conclusion where people can mingle with the candidates.

Off street parking is available and further details can be obtained by contacting Rev Greg Woolnough on 9894 8999 or 0407 291 958 or [email protected].
