WINNING NUMBER
A player who had a ticket in the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10384 thought it was a hoax when he received a call on Monday, June 1 to tell him he had won first prize in the draw.
The regular player, who asked to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of two consecutive numbers at Kenthurst Cellars, at Kenthurst Village Shopping Centre.
As well as winning the 1st prize, the man’s entry also won a consolation prize of $1,000, boosting his total win to $101,000.
He told the Lott official: “It is a bit of a shock! A very big shock actually! Can you hang on a moment. I want to go get my wife and get you to break the news to her.”
His wife’s response was: “Are you sure this is not a hoax?”
The overjoyed man said he’d be spending the night having a few celebratory drinks and making plans for how to enjoy his prize.
“God, I need some good scotch and my wife needs a nice bottle of wine to celebrate this,” he laughed.
“There’s so much we could do with this prize. I want to help my family.
“I’d love to go on a trip too eventually. Then I will put some towards my future retirement.”
Kenthurst Cellars manager Bel Kainz said she couldn’t be happier for her winning customer.
“We are very excited! Very, very, excited. It’s just fantastic news!
We can’t believe it! “We wish our winner all the very best and hope he enjoys it! We are just so happy for him.
“It’s been a while since we’ve sold a major prize winning entry, so hopefully this is the start of a winning streak!”
Lucky Lotteries has two raffle-style jackpotting games: Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot.
Both Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot have thousands of other guaranteed prizes in every draw, including a 1st Prize of $100,000 and $200,000 respectively.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $3.40 million for draw 1487 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $630,000 for draw 10385.
