TOP WRITERS IN HILLS STOP

Historical fiction writer Kerrie Turner and children’s author and publisher Louise Park are visiting The Hills this March as part of The Hills Shire Library Services author talk series.

Turner is the author of The Last Days of the Romanov Dancers and The Daughter of Victory Lights which was published in January this year. She will be at Castle Hill Library on Wednesday, March 4 at 11am.

She trained from a young age to become a ballerina and gained an Associate Degree (Dance) and Diploma of Publishing (Editing, Proofreading and Publishing).

Through her writing she has combined her love of ballet, history and books.

She still dances, passing on the joy of ballet to those who never got the chance to experience it by teaching adults-only and over-55s classes.

During her visit, Turner will take audiences through her writing processes and how she transforms her research into enjoyable stories.

Tickets cost: $5pp.
Park is a bestselling author and education consultant and she will be visiting Castle Hill Library on Saturday, March 7 at 2pm for an “in conversation” with The Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne.

During her visit, Park will discuss her latest book, 7 Steps to Get Your Child Reading, as well as provide helpful tips to get your child reading.

Tickets cost: $7.50pp.
