Have you heard about the Sydney Writers’ Festival? It is an annual literary festival which presents over 300 events, attracting audiences of over 100,000 throughout Sydney and participating suburbs. It brings together writers from various forms and backgrounds, including the best contemporary novelists, writers of cutting edge nonfiction, plus a range of popular personalities and international guests.
For the first time, Hawkesbury Library Service will be participating in the Sydney Writers’ Festival, which this year will be held during 22-28 May 2017. The Library is pleased to announce that Sandra Leigh Price will be giving an author talk at the Library on Wednesday, 24 May from 6 -7.30pm.
Sandra Leigh Price’s glittering and gritty The River Sings is set in 1825 in London and the Colony of New South Wales and follows the life of Eglantine, daughter of the mysteriously prosperous Mr Amberline Stark.
Join Sandra in a conversation about love knots and cut ties, old worlds and new beginnings, and the importance of a taking a chance.
The Mayor of Hawkesbury, Councillor Mary Lyons-Buckett said, “This is an event the Hawkesbury community should definitely support as it may lead to other opportunities in the coming years.”
