SEARCH FOR YOUNG LEADERS

If you know a young person, aged 15 to 24, who is ready for an engaging leadership role why not nominate them now.

The Hills Shire Council is searching for young and emerging leaders to join its Youth Ambassador program for 2020.

Hills Shire Mayor Dr Michelle Byrne encouraged people to nominate saying: “It’s the perfect opportunity for our youth to make an impact on their local community.”

“Our Ambassadors participate in a range of activities that help them build upon their leadership skills and it’s also a great opportunity to learn more about the world of local government. Our Ambassadors are also encouraged to support Council during major events and are often asked to provide feedback on programs aimed towards young people.

The Sydney Hills Youth Ambassador program is open to young people aged 15 to 24 years who live in The Hills Shire local government area. To nominate yourself or someone else, visit The Hills Shire Council’s website (www.thehills.nsw.gov.au) and search “Youth Ambassador” and complete the online application form. Nominations close at 5pm on Monday, March 16.
