Relay For Life Christmas Wrap

The Charity Christmas wrap is on again at Castle Towers but it’s moved to the other end of the shopping centre.

Volunteers from Hills Relay For Life have been wrapping gifts at Castle Towers for several years to raise money for the Cancer Council.

There were fears that the COVID crisis would stop this year’s charity wrap from going ahead.

Christmas wrap co-ordinator and Relay For Life volunteer Ruth Didsbury said they were thrilled that the wrap was going ahead and stressed that it would be very COVID-Safe with gloves used and sanitisers at hand and facemasks worn.

It starts this Saturday (December 5) top level near the Food Court close to Subaru.

Wraping will be operating everyday including Christmas Eve during opening hours. A gold coin donation per gift is asked.

Ruth said Castle Towers had been wonderful supporters of the annual wrap by providing quality Christmas paper and ribbon.

Social distancing will be ensured. Volunteers are still needed.
