Cycling is one of the best ways to discover more about The Hills and its local history, while also keeping healthy and active during the stay-athome period.
Hills Shire Council has more than 100km of cycleways and the Greenway Link cycleway, from Bella Vista to Rouse Hill, is a great option.
You can start by cycling from Bella Vista Farm – a homestead that was instrumental in the development of the Australian pastoral and agricultural industries in the 19th century to historic Aberdoon House – an intact Colonial Georgian Cottage in Rose Hill.
The 12-kilometre cycleway begins at The Farm, located on the corner of Elizabeth Macarthur Drive and Norwest Boulevard in Bella Vista, and continues around the significant property, through scenic bushland, housing estates and past shops and cafes.
