It was a busy week for Amanda Rose, Founder and Managing Director of Western Sydney Women who hosted the inaugural Western Sydney Executive Women International Women’s Day event at Sarino’s Norwest on Monday (March 8).
The fundraising event raised $6000 for Hills Community Aid to use in helping people in financial hardship.
On Wednesday, Amanda was the finalist in the NSW Woman of Excellence Award presented by the Premier, Gladys Berejiklian and won by NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant.
Baulkham Hills resident Chris Cleary, Founder of StreetMed and StreetPets was a finalist in the NSW Community Hero Award.
Local State MPs also nominated their Local Woman of the Year. Baulkham Hills MP David Elliott nominated Sonja Palic, form President of Sydney Hills Business Chamber; Castle Hill MP Ray Williams nominated Denise Daynes from Hills Relay For Life; Hawkesbury MP Robyn Preston nominated Dennise Willams and Riverstone MP Kevin Conolly nominated Julianne France.
