NEW COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS FOR HAWKESBURY

The electorate of Hawkesbury has secured grant funding of $200,000 for a total of 17 projects as part of the NSW Government’s 2016 Community Building Partnership (CBP) program.

The NSW Government has committed funds to new community infrastructure projects that will enhance much needed local facilities.

Member for Hawkesbury Dominic Perrottet said he was pleased to receive this State Government funding. The funding will aim to create more vibrant and inclusive communities and deliver positive social, environmental and recreational outcomes.

“This grassroots funding will directly benefit our community and will deliver new infrastructure for schools and community groups, and will help pay for much-needed improvements to local sports facilities, parks and clubs.”

Mr Perrottet congratulates all those organisations that were successful in their application and is pleased this funding will help community groups make a positive difference in the local area.

The successful Projects in the Hawkesbury electorate for 2016 are:

 Weather-proof undercover areas for Windsor Sports Complex (Windsor Junior Rugby League Football Club)
 Modernisation of Tiningi Court (Bligh Park Community Services Inc.)
 Floodlighting at Bensons 2, Bensons Lane Sporting Complex (Hawkesbury AFL Club Inc.)
 Resurfacing of Long Jump Run Up at Tamplin Field, Hobartville (Hawkesbury City Little Athletics Inc.)
 Refurbishment of old grass on bowling green (Windsor Bowling Club Co-Operative)
 Internal Upgrades to Richmond Girl Guide Hall (Girl Guides Association of NSW)
 Air-conditioning to the CWA Richmond Building (Country Women’s Association Richmond Branch)
 Irrigation at Deerubbin Park (Hawkesbury Valley Rugby Club Inc.)
 Outdoor gas BBQ and shelters (The Friends of The Australiana Pioneer Village Society Inc)
 Playground Shade Sail Installation (Colo Heights Public School P&C Association)
 Air-conditioning (Macdonald Valley Public School P&C Association)
 Access path upgrades at Wisemans Ferry Ski Ramp (NSW Water Ski Federation)
 First Aid Kit and defibrillator (Pitt Town and District Sports Soccer Club)
 Centre security and yard improvements (Glossodia Community Information and Neighbourhood Centre Inc.)
 Sunshade (Hawkesbury Riding Club)
 Storage facilities (Grose Vale Scouts)
 Trailer fitout and storage upgrade (Zone One NSW Endurance Riders Association)
