Lend a hand and help clean up Australia

Clean Up Australia Day will be held on Sunday, 6 March and the Mayor of Hawkesbury City Council, Councillor Kim Ford is encouraging Hawkesbury residents to join a team or register a site for Clean Up Australia Day.

“Come on Hawkesbury, let’s get out there and make this year’s Clean Up Australia Day the biggest one yet by registering a site in the Hawkesbury,” Councillor Ford said.

2015 was a very successful year for the event. More than 535,000 volunteers removed an estimated 14,000 tonnes of rubbish from 6,890 sites across Australia. It is hoped these numbers will increase in 2016.
