Lend a hand and help clean up Australia

It is no too late to be a part of Clean Up Australia Day this Sunday! To find a site in the Hawkesbury, visit www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au.

Mayor of Hawkesbury City Council, Councillor Kim Ford is encouraging Hawkesbury residents to join a team for Clean Up Australia Day.

“Come on Hawkesbury, let’s get out there and make this year’s Clean Up Australia Day the biggest one yet by helping out at a site in the Hawkesbury,” Councillor Ford said.

Volunteers can search registered sites at www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au/join and register online or on the day to be a part of this great event.

“Council will coordinate with Clean Up Australia for the disposal of collected rubbish after the event. Sites must be registered with Clean Up Australia to receive this assistance” the Mayor said.

This program is coordinated by Clean Up Australia Day. Please ensure all sites cleaning up on this day register at www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au. Council will only collect rubbish from sites registered with Clean Up Australia Day. Dumped rubbish will not be collected by Council and may incur a fine.
