Italian Street Kitchen

BY BEV JORDAN

Finding a new eatery is always good news but the Italian Street Kitchen at Bella Vista is a real treasure.

The rustic Italian food is wonderful and so is the ambience and décor at this attractive and interesting new addition at Norwest Esplanade.

Italian Street Kitchen inspired by Isabella gives you the feeling that you have just walked into Isabella’s home with family pictures on the walls, books and ornaments everywhere.

If the interior is a voyage of discovery so too is the menu which is full of great choices and includes kid’s meals for under 12s and some great vegetarian choices.

There is a large range of pastas and pizzas too. The pasta and pizzas are made using sustainable Italian flour and Roman-style pizza oven really delivers some mouth-watering results.

On the night my colleague Karen Taylor and I went, we absolutely loved the flavoursome mushroom aranchini and the crisp golden sweet potato croquettes which are a must.

The pan -fried barramundi is served with mussels in a lobster broth and the slow cooked beef ragu lasagne, had such a great depth of flavours. Also recommended is the Roman Porchetta with crispy crackling and a mushroom sauce. With so much to choose from the varied menu, it’s hard to remember to leave room for desserts like the home-made tiramisu but it’s worth it.

Italian Street Kitchen opened just before Christmas 2020 and is part of the Seagrass Boutique Hospitality Group, which also opened Ribs & Burgers at the $280m Esplanade Norwest Development.

ISK is at G02/11 Solent Circuit, Baulkham Hills facing the Lake. Open from 11.30am. Call 8629 8708.
