The rose-lined pathways of Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Garden/Rose Garden will be transformed into a Christmas wonderland with the return of Illuminate the Hills.
The Baulkham Hills garden, which is located next to Waves Fitness & Aquatic Centre, will be adorned with twinkling lights and decorated with festive installations, including a nativity scene and a walk-through bauble.
Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Peter Gangemi encouraged residents to visit the rose garden during Illuminate the Hills.
“Bring your family and friends to enjoy the rose garden embellished with thousands of glittering lights and Christmas displays. The opening night of Illuminate the Hills will be a particularly wonderful celebration, and you may even see Santa, Mrs Claus, Rudolph and carollers.”
Home to over 4,000 roses from 80 different species, the rose garden is one of the largest of its kind in NSW. The garden also features concrete pathways, making it wheelchair and pram-friendly.
The opening night of Illuminate the Hills will take place on Thursday, 30 November 2023. The event will begin at 7pm and the lights will be officially switched on by Mayor Gangemi at 7:30pm on the same night.
