Food For Thought – Biviano’s Finest

The beauty of Bivianos at Dural is not just the setting but the fine dining experience without the matching price tag.

It’s a great place for those special occasions but it is also a great venue to catch up with friends or have a business lunch.

The sleek looking restaurant is light and airy with picture window views of the Blue Mountains.

It’s hard not to be impressed with the fine dining ambience complete with white linen table cloths to match and its elegant but spacious design means that you won’t be crowded next to neighbouring tables.

The menu is well-crafted and diverse, offering some great vegetarian choices as well as some stunning seafood and meat dishes.

There is also a range of pastas and more than 20 types of pizzas to share. Starters are from $7 and entrees start at $16. There is a wide choice of mains which range from a seafood platter or oysters to a chicken schntitzel or burger. Mains start at $28 and pizzas are priced from $25. There are also light meals and lunch time specials and a children’s menu.

On the day I went I selected the chicken supreme ($38) and enjoyed the richness of the mushroom veloute sauce with mash and brocollini.

It was a good choice on a day crying out for top quality comfort food.

The portions are a good size but if you have a sweet tooth maybe bypass the entree to leave room for dessert.

The tempting dessert menu includes $9 sorbets to delights such as sticky date pudding with vanilla bean gelato and butterscotch sauce ($16) and vanilla pannacotta with local honey ($15).

Bivianos also prides itself on its high teas plus its functions and events. For more details visit https://bivianosdural.com/.
