Listening to our community Your Services – Your Say

Hawkesbury City Council is giving local residents the chance to have their say on the level of service they receive from Council through public meetings and ‘listening kiosks’ being held around the Hawkesbury.

Called ‘Listening to our community Your Services – Your Say’, it’s all about reviewing the level of service Council provides to the community in a range of areas including: roads and drainage; footpaths and cycleways; parks and public spaces; community buildings and amenities and cultural services.

The public meetings already held at Pitt Town, Kurrajong and Windsor have been well attended and they have already helped to confirm some community priorities that are clearly apparent, such as roads, cycleways and parks. The meetings are also asking residents to identify their priorities for future investment.

Residents also have the chance to have their say through an online survey at www.yourhawkesbury- yoursay.com.au/-services.

This review is part of Council’s Council’s Fit for the Future plan. It will help Council to better understand the community’s service needs, which in turn will assist Council direct its resources and form plans to best suit a community of 66,000 residents across the largest local government area in metropolitan Sydney – nearly 2800 square kilometres.

Outcomes from the community consultation will also be used in the review of the Community Strategic Plan and will help to ensure that Council is aligned with and working together with the community to build a successful future for the Hawkesbury.
