COMMUNITY LIBRARY

Book worms have a new place to borrow.
Hills Community Aid has just launched a new Community Library, located outside its Learning in the Hills facility at Balcombe Heights Estate in Baulkham Hills.

Castle Hill Men’s Shed built the miniature library and volunteer, Dianne Millington for overseeing book supply.

Everyone is welcome to take a book or leave a book when next visiting Balcombe Heights Estate. For more information contact Learning in the Hills on 96397918.

Mici Beer from Hills Community Aid said: “The Community Library was an idea posed by the Balcombe Heights Estate Committee. We were keen to provide an opportunity for the local community to gather and share reading resources when visiting the beautiful estate.”

“Our wonderful volunteer, Dianne, ensures we have a range of books on hand, including fiction and biographies. Learning in the Hills has books in reserve which will enable us to keep circulating what is available.

“Having only just started our community, we are encouraging people to come and take a book for free! We are located outside Learning in the Hills, Turner Buildings 4 and 5 at Balcombe Heights Estate in Baulkham Hills.”
