CLIMATE ACTION PROTEST
Members of Hills 4 Climate Action held up banners outside Federal Minister Alex Hawke’s office in Castle Hill on Friday, September as part of a day of action against government funds going to gas.
H4CA member Hugh Vaughan said Government funds should be going into renewable energy “creating thousands of jobs that would also help tackle climate change”.
Hills 4 Climate Action is also lobbying local councils to: Declaring a state of climate emergency. Commit to a target of 100% Renewable Energy for Council Operations by 2025; and Commit to a target of net zero carbon emissions for the community by 2040
