The Bromeliad Society of Australia is meeting at the Federation Pavilion, Castle Hill Showground on Saturday, March 7 at 11am.

Treasurer of the Bromeliad Society of Australia, Alan Mathews who is also a passionate bird watcher will discuss the human effect on native birds in Sydney backyards.

The talk will include the feeding of native birds, leaving water out for birds and the types of vessels to use. Growing a suitable habitat to attract native birds into your garden.

BSA meetings include plant sales, club news, raffles and competitions as well as providing an opportunity to meet with like-minded people in a friendly and inviting environment.

The March 7 meeting starts with a plant sale at 11am followed by the meeting at noon.

Access is via the Showground entrance off Showground Road into Doran Drive, Castle Hill, with plenty of parking on site.
