Baulkham Hills Netball Awards Night

It was an honour to attend the Baulkham Hills Netball Awards Night at Rydges Norwest. Not only was it wonderful to witness those being recognised for their achievements, but also to meet up with the players, coaches and volunteers who have made this Association so incredibly successful.

Special recognition must go to Kylie Tzavaras (President), Monica O’Callaghan (Vice President), Cassie Johnson (Treasurer) and Rhiannon Latham (Secretary) for their leadership of the club, and their mentorship to the club players.

NSW Opposition Leader Mark Speakman MP visited Rouse Hill Town Centre to meet with local constituents and businesses about the rising cost of living and the challenges facing small business.

He also met with leadership and players from our local sporting clubs and associations to discuss and rally for the Active Kids Vouchers to be returned to their full value.

When campaigning, the now Premier promised to not touch the $100 Active Kids Vouchers, but once in Government these were slashed, adding to the extra financial pressure that families are suffering due to the cost of living.

These vouchers were just one of over 70 measures brought in by the previous Liberal Government to combat the rise in daily expenses and we will keep fighting to have these vouchers fully reinstated.
