APPLY NOW FOR HERITAGE FUNDING

Owners or managers of local heritage listed properties in the Hawkesbury LGA are being invited to apply for Hawkesbury Local Heritage Funding.

The Hawkesbury Local Heritage Assistance Fund 2020-2021 is jointly funded by Hawkesbury City Council and the NSW Government.

Primarily targets preparation of maintenance plans for heritage listed properties within the Hawkesbury Local Government Area and continues to provide funding assistance for minor improvements/conservation works to local heritage listed properties.

The Fund provides dollar for dollar grant funding of up to $2,000 for minor conservation works to heritage listed properties.

Applications are open until Monday, September 14. Application guidelines and forms can be downloaded at www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au. The link includes examples of projects from last year’s program to highlight the types of works that can be achieved with this local heritage assistance funding.

Mayor of Hawkesbury, Councillor Barry Calvert said. “Heritage is not only important today but it is an integral component of the future character of the Hawkesbury Local Government Area,” Mayor Calvert said.

“Effective maintenance is the key for heritage buildings and properties to retain their originality and heritage significance into the future.”
