A CHOCOLATE DREAM – HAIGHS CHOCOLATE

There were queues waiting outside the new Haigh’s chocolate shop in Castle Towers before its official opening last week.

Alister Haigh officially opened the family company’s 21st store in Australia and its sixth in Sydney to the delight of the eager shoppers.

He and his brother Simon Haigh are the fourth generation of the family to be involved in Haigh’s Chocolates which has been in business and making chocolate in Adelaide since 1915 when Alfred Haigh founded the company.

The first Sydney store was opened in the Strand Arcade in 2005. The Castle Towers store, on Level 3 adjacent Myer.

A company spokesperson said: “The Castle Towers store has been busy since the moment of opening. It has been terrific to have so many people new to Haigh’s dropping byand we thank all our loyal customers for also visiting.”

“The Milk Chocolate Speckles, Chocolate Frogs and Truffles from the chocolate cabinet all continue to be firm favourites with customers and the newly launched Christmas Collection is already selling really well.”

Haigh’s has over 250 chocolates. “We are committed to the art of premium chocolate making from the raw cocoa bean and selling our chocolates in our company owned stores.“
