Wilberforce United FC Win Fair Play Award

Wilberforce United FC’s Under 6 Bears teams were recognised for their remarkable sporting spirit this season at last week’s FNSW awards presentation.

FNSW was touched by the compassion and great sportsmanship shown by this team towards their opposition in the MiniRoos space.

Wilberforce Under 6 Bears, from the Nepean Football Association, showed great support for their Under 6 Emu’s team, who are made up of mostly Under 5’s and have had a very tough season being beaten regularly.

The Richmond coach was amazed how the Wilberforce team at one stage all fell over “like ten pins” to allow the Richmond team a chance to score a goal.

He said all the players and parents from Wilberforce were so positive and encouraging to their players to keep going that it was a pleasure to play the game in such great spirit.
