When and Where to Vote

Residents, who are unable to vote for their councillors on election day, Saturday, December 4th, have three options to cast their votes before the date.

• Pre-voting at selected venues
• Postal votes
• iVote

Early voting or pre-polls will take place from Monday, November 22nd, until Friday, December 3. Postal votes are open, and the receipt of postal vote applications closes at 5pm, on Monday, November 29th.

The NSW Electoral Commission has said that any applications received after this time will not receive a postal vote pack.

To check if you are eligible for iVote, call 1300 248 683 or at www.elections.nsw.gov. au/Voters/Online-voting-iVote. The iVote applications open on Monday, November 22, and close at 1pm on Saturday, December 4.

Voting is compulsory for council elections. Residents, who are unable to vote for their councillors on election day, Saturday, December 4th, have three options to cast their votes before the date. The Hills residents are also electing their Mayor by popular vote.

Pre-election voting venues for the Hills LGA are open from Monday, November 22, until Friday, December 3: (Monday to Saturday from 9am-5pm):
• Wrights Road Community Centre. Wrights Road, Kellyville
• Castle Hill Cultural Centre – The Rebellion Room (under Castle Hill Library), 14 Pennant Street, Castle Hill.
• The Hills Returning Officer’s Office, Baulkham Hills Community Centre, Connie Avenue, Baulkham Hills.

Pre-election voting venues for Hawkesbury LGA from Monday, November 22, until Friday, December 3: (Monday to Saturday from 9am-5pm):
• Hawkesbury Returning Officer’s Office, 18 Macquarie Street, Windsor
•Richmond School of Arts, 6 West Market Street, Richmond
