Man Dies Following Water-skiing Incident on Hawkesbury River
A man died on the Hawkesbury River following a water-skiing incident yesterday morning.
At about 7:25 AM yesterday, Sunday, 6 October, emergency services were called to a boat ramp on the Hawkesbury River, Lower Portland, following reports of a marine incident.
Officers attached to Hawkesbury Police Area Command arrived and were told a water skier had been injured after he hit the water at speed while being pulled by a boat.
The 25-year-old man was brought ashore and treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however he died at the scene.
Police established a crime scene, and a report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
