The NSW SES The Hills Unit saw twelve members gain their qualifications in ‘Participate in a Rescue Operation‘ (PIARO).
PIARO is a foundation course that our volunteers complete before going into a specialised rescue field such as Flood Rescue, and Urban Search and Rescue (USAR).
The aim of the PIARO course is to provide SES volunteers with the skills and knowledge to Participate in rescue operations as a member of a rescue team, apply general work health and safety requirements, and Protect and Preserve an Incident scene.
The Hills SES Unit would like to say a big thank you to their volunteer trainers and assessors!
and congratulations to their newly qualified members!
