Pothole Funding secured for the Hawkesbury!

What a win for Hawkesbury! You may recall last year, that Mayors across Western Sydney teamed up to let the NSW Government know that they deserved extra funding to cope with the worst potholes in living memory.

Well today, half a billion dollars was announced to go to Councils across NSW to help us get on with fixing this problem.

“Thanks to Mayor Matt Gould of Wollondilly, Dr Peter Gangemi – Mayor of The Hills Shire Council, Mayor Mark Greenhill of Blue Mountains City Council and Mayor Philip Ruddock of Hornsby Shire Council for joining with me to use our collective voices to make this happen.  Thanks also to 9 News Sydney, 7NEWS Sydney and ABC News for coming to Hawkesbury today to discuss the announcement. “Sarah McMahon said

(Please note that there is also a shortage of contractors and materials across the state, so we will do our best to get our fair share!)
