The Hills Annual Charity Gala Ball 2023 returns for an evening of charity and talks at Biviano’s Restaurant at Dural on 31 August 2023.
The fine-dining restaurant in the Hills Shire had hosted the yearly charity ball on multiple occasions. The annual dinner started in 2016 and has continuously raised funds for different charities and causes, such as Foster Care Angels, Riding for the Disabled NSW, and the Grace Centre for Intensive Care at Westmead Children’s Hospital.
On August 2022 alone, the dinner raised $55,000. The Gala ball was only disrupted during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. For over six years, The Hills Annual Charity Gala Ball has collectively raised a total of almost $300,000.
The upcoming dinner on August 2023 supports the Positive Vibes Foundation. This not-for-profit organisation promotes positive mental health awareness and local community involvement. The foundation is based at Balcombe Heights, Baulkham Hills.
Dr Mark Cross, the ABC series Changing Minds lead psychiatrist, is the evening’s keynote speaker.
“Join us as we work together to raise funds for Positive Vibes as they make a difference to mental health in our community,” according to the invitation banner.
The fundraising is supported by different Members of Parliament and personalities such as Hon Alex Hawke MP (Federal Member for Mitchell), Supt Darrin Batchelor (Commander of the Hills Police), Dr Jim Taggart (OAM, MC & Auctioneer), Mr Julian Leeser MP (Federal Member for Berowra), Dr Michelle Bryne (former Hills Mayor and current Positive Vibes Chair), and Dr Peter Gangemi (Councillor and Mayor the Hills Shire).
The event starts at 6:00 PM. Biviano’s Restaurant Dural is at 628 Old Northern Road, Dural NSW 2158. The dress code is formal.
General admission cost $140.00. Reservations can be made online via The Hills Annual Charity Gala Ball 2023.
