Permaculture Hawkesbury Food Preservation Masterclass for Teens

Starting on the 21st of July, the Permaculture Hawkesbury Valley Inc. will begin its “Food Preservation Masterclass” series aimed at teens.

“Each week students will get hands-on and make a preserve to take home and share with their family,” according to the organization. The topics include fundamentals about “Home Canning, Fermentation, Jam, Pickling, Dehydration, Sourdough Bread, Cheese, and Vinegar.”

This is among Permaculture Hawkesbury’s multiple educational classes such as 9-week gardening schools for teenagers from ages 12 to 17 and children from 5 to 11 years old.

Each masterclass starts at 1:00 PM and will end at 3:00 PM AEST. The venue will be the Australiana Pioneer Village at 10 Rose St. Wilberforce, NSW 2756.

Tickets for each class cost $54.26 AUD (including the $4.26 AUD Eventbrite fee). Tickets are also available at discounted rates.

$424.85 AUD (including the $24.85 AUD fee) – for all nine (9) classes

$239.55 AUD (including the $14.55 AUD fee) – for five (5) classes

For refunds, it is advised to contact the organizer. Meanwhile, the fee from Eventbrite is nonrefundable.
