Little Athletics NSW announced the list of finalists for the Little Athletics Annual Awards for the 2022 to 2023 season on 6 July 2023.
Ray Rayner, a Life Member from the Hills District Little Athletics, is among the nominations for the “Official of the Year.”
According to the criteria released by the sports organisation, the award “Official of the Year” is granted to a qualified Official “who volunteers their time to contribute to competitions and activities, provides leadership through education and mentoring and has a positive and encouraging attitude towards athletes.”
On 15 July 2023, the awardees will be announced during the Annual Awards Dinner at the St Mary’s Leagues Club.
Other award categories are Metro Centre of the Year, Regional Centre of the Year, Innovative Centre of the Year, Administrator of the Year, Coach of the Year, and Volunteer of the Year.
Along Rayner are officials from centres operating at Penrith Valley, Northern Districts, West Met Zone/Mount Druitt, and Coolamon.
