Next Public Running Day at Galston Valley Railway – Sunday 10th September, 2017. Train rides start at 10am. Gates open 9.30am.
Make it a great day out with family and friends at Galston Valley Railway for a nice picnic lunch with some exciting train rides for you and the kids, or just watch the trains go by!
Our railway is a 5” gauge miniature railway, with a main-line length about 1 km, which runs through a delightful natural bush setting.
So come along, tell your Facebook family and friends and join us for a great day out! Arrive early to get your favourite trackside picnic spot in the beautiful Galston Valley springtime air.
In the ‘Upper Level Picnic Area’ – Sausage Sandwich Stall between 12 noon and 1:30pm , along with Canteen selling tea & coffeee, cold drinks, ice creams & lollies. Also on display is our Stationary Engine Display.
Garden Railway [45mm gauge] with Remote Controlled “U-Drive” Trains also on-site [near main entrance] ~ a must see..!!
Site entry for adults is $8.00 (sorry, no concessions). Site entry for accompanied children is free. Rides are $2.50 per person (any age*) We now have EFTPOS facilities for entry and ride tickets.
Trains run continually throughout the day. We generally have a mix of steam and “diesel” (i.e. petrol or electric) locomotives. Wet weather? Call our site 9653 1630 after 9.30am for latest information on the day.
